Another year is in the history books, and it was certainly a doozy.
Despite the challenges within both the entertainment and advertising industries, we still managed to find some success!
The year started with a little New Year’s resolution to post some of my well-traveled knowledge about post-production on the LightRock LinkedIn page. From tips on handling sound effects and music…to handling egos in the edit room, you can find a good variety of my thoughts up there. Check them out here: LightRock Productions LinkedIn Articles
I continued to edit multiple social media projects with CBIZ, a leader in the financial, accounting, benefits, and insurance space with a broad range of clients. Most of the videos are informative in nature, so they lean on me to clean things up, keep the messaging clear, and wrap it all up in a consistent, company-branded look.
This year, I also reconnected with the post-team at Definition 6, now part of Bridgenext, providing a large range of clients with digital marketing expertise. I pitched in on a brand-appeal sizzle video for one of their clients, and I look forward to continue collaboration with them in the coming year.
Another feather in my cap was creating a promo video for comic book writer (and my better half) Erica Schultz. As her Marvel star continues to shine, we thought showcasing her recent writing work in the comics industry on her website EricaSchultzWrites.com would be a great starting point for her fans to get a quick glance at all the books she’s working on. This way a fan of her Black Widow books can discover her work on Spawn or Daredevil and so on. It’s also something that can be easily updated as time goes by to swap out the old with the new.
Finally, I was thrilled to return to the post-team on Lidia’s Kitchen for their 12th season, editing ten of the episodes. Lidia Bastianich demonstrates a slew of new recipes and shares some great insights into cooking and hosting! Check your local PBS listings for all the new episodes.
Shout out to the cuttlefish!
See ya in 2025.
